KING'S LYNN BRANCH

King's Lynn Branch specialise in carvery lunches!  There are three events a year and, although there isn't a regular venue as such, the Foldgate Inn is very popular – excellent carvery! Scroll down for more details.

Everyone enjoys the summer visit to the Sandringham Club for a finger buffet – so called, but quite substantial!

Members are encouraged to bring along friends to swell the numbers!

A very successful carvery lunch was held on 26 April at the Foldgate Inn, Stradsett. 34 members, wives, and guests enjoyed a first class lunch in the lovely new conservatory.

Members made the journey from such places as Brackley, Northants, Royston, Ipswich, Huntingdon and Colchester. Many of those present live well out of the branch area but are keen to meet up with colleagues from many years past.

Several members helped others with transport – vital as we all get older and sometimes have to give up driving.

The 37th AGM took place after lunch. Secretary – Tom, and Chairman/ Treasurer – Steve, agreed to carry on – despite pointing out that they had served in their posts for 25 and 22 years respectively!

The next meeting is on 5 July and everyone is looking forward to meeting up again then for the buffet lunch at the Sandringham Social Club, West Newton.
